Welcome to Art by June. June is a painter based in Apsley, Ontario. The beautiful nature of the Kawarthas is a constant inspiration for the nature paintings in oil and acrylics that encompass most of her work.
June
attended the Oldham College of Art in the UK and studied Dress
Design and Pattern Cutting and has always been artistically inclined
and together with her love of nature it was inevitable that her two
loves would one day merge, but it was not until she retired and
emigrated to Canada to settle in Apsley that she allows herself the
time to take up paining in both Oils and Acrylics and her painting
of animals and landscapes are very true to life and accurate in
every detail.
As well as her art work June also makes Greeting
Cards all of which are individual and totally handmade and in effect
are also miniature works of art.
